BPCL announced that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved Shri Sanjay Khanna, currently Director (Refineries), as Chairman & Managing Director.
Khanna will serve until his superannuation on May 31 2029, bringing over three decades of refinery and petrochemical experience to the role.
He led BPCL’s Mumbai and Kochi refineries, commissioned Propylene Derivative Petrochemical Project, and sits on boards of BPRL, Petronet LNG, Ratnagiri Refinery.
BPCL, a Maharatna Fortune Global 500 PSU, operates 35.3 MMTPA refining capacity and aims for Net‑Zero Scope 1‑2 emissions by 2040.
