BrowserStack Launches Real‑Browser Load Testing Ahead of Holiday Sales

Dublin, 14 Oct 2026 – BrowserStack, the AI‑native software testing platform, announced the launch of BrowserStack Load Testing, a service that runs real browsers and API traffic together in a single test to help teams assess web‑app performance during holiday and festive sales periods.

Traditional load testing sends traffic only to servers, which no longer reflects modern web applications that render much of the page in the visitor’s browser. BrowserStack notes that this gap can cause sites to pass server‑side load tests while customers experience delays on checkout pages. Adobe Analytics data is cited, showing U.S. shoppers spent $12.5 million online every minute during peak Black Friday 2025 hours.

BrowserStack Load Testing enables teams to simulate a sale‑day rush with up to 1 million API virtual users and 1,000 browser virtual users per test, across multiple geographies, on fully managed infrastructure. The platform presents frontend, backend, and APM metrics in a single view, allowing users to pinpoint where performance degrades under load. Existing test scripts written in Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, and k6 can be converted into load tests without rewrites, and new flows can be recorded via a low‑code recorder. AI agents are provided to automatically identify the root cause of slowdowns, and the service also supports migration of NeoLoad and LoadRunner tests, with natural‑language scripting and MCP functionality slated for future release.

"Every year we watch great products stumble on their biggest day, and almost always for the same reason: the test said the servers were fine. We've run real browsers at scale for 15 years, so we built Load Testing to show teams what their customers actually see," said Ritesh Arora, Co‑founder and CEO of BrowserStack.

BrowserStack Load Testing is now generally available, and teams can start a free trial at browserstack.com/load-testing.
