Strategic Actions

BSE Limited has entered into an agreement with MSCI for a number of their indexes to explore the launch of futures and options contracts in India linked to these indexes. The launch is subject to regulatory approvals. This strategic step aims to anchor BSE's role in further developing the Indian capital market.

The initiative addresses the increasing need for futures and options products due to the amount of capital benchmarked against indexes and improved tradability of index-based products via ETFs. Derivatives linked to indexes can help fund managers facilitate fund flows and manage equity exposure.

MSCI indexes are among the world's most widely tracked benchmarks, linked to more than USD 21 trillion in assets under management as of December 31, 2025.

Management Commentary

MD and CEO of BSE, Mr. Sundararaman Ramamurthy, stated: \"We are proud to be taking the next step to further enhance India's market accessibility by providing investors with an additional avenue to access and hedge their exposure to the Indian market.\"
