Announcement
On 4 November 2026, at Singapore Urban Mobility Week (SUMW 2026), BYD and autonomous‑driving technology firm MOGOX (trading as Zhidao Network Technology Co. Ltd., Beijing) jointly unveiled an 8.5‑metre right‑hand‑drive Level 4 autonomous B90 electric bus, marking the model’s global debut.
Technical Overview
The vehicle is built on BYD’s established electric bus platform and integrates MOGOX’s proprietary MOGO AutoPilot system. It features a low‑floor layout and an ultra‑short rear overhang to enhance manoeuvrability on narrow urban streets and facilitate easier boarding for elderly passengers and those with reduced mobility. Sensor suite combines cameras with solid‑state LiDAR, and the software has been localised for left‑hand‑traffic and right‑hand‑drive markets, specifically including Singapore. MOGOX has optimised driving models, sensor placement and hardware for long‑duration operations. The bus’s modular architecture addresses seven adaptation areas: regulations, applications, vehicle platforms, autonomous‑driving configurations, operating conditions, fleet management and local service networks, intended to shorten deployment cycles.
Singapore Deployment
Singapore serves as the initial gateway for MOGOX’s overseas expansion. The company secured the nation’s first official Level 4 autonomous bus contract, successfully passed the Land Transport Authority’s Milestone 1 (M1) test, and entered a partnership with ComfortDelGro Bus to advance autonomous mobility initiatives and local workforce training.
International Partnerships and Existing Deployments
Beyond Singapore, MOGOX is collaborating with Sales‑Lentz Group and Clément Bayard in Luxembourg, and with LG Electronics and BYDA in South Korea. In China, MOGOX’s MOGOBUS vehicles are already operating in more than 20 cities across transit, tourism and shuttle applications.
Strategic Intent
Through the BYD‑MOGOX collaboration, proven autonomous‑driving capabilities are being transformed into adaptable, factory‑integrated products that can move more efficiently from local testing to practical public‑transport deployment worldwide.
