Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) inaugurated its 39th centre on 14 September 2026 at the Laxmi Devi Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET) in Alwar, Rajasthan, marking the academy’s sixth centre in the state. The inauguration was led by former Indian cricketer and CAP co‑founder Yusuf Pathan together with Harmeet Vasdev, Managing Director of CAP.
Yusuf Pathan stated that the academy’s objective is to identify and develop cricket talent in every corner of the country and highlighted Alwar’s “tremendous potential” for nurturing young players.
CAP reports having trained more than 18,000 students to date and has guided over 550 cricketers into prestigious competitions such as the Indian Premier League, Ranji Trophy and other premier domestic circuits. A recent success from the academy’s Rajasthan network is Shifan Khan of CAP Jaipur, who was selected for the BCCI U‑16 High Performance Camp 2026 and was named the best cricketer in the sub‑junior category at the 33rd Mathuradas Mathur Awards.
Harmeet Vasdev explained that the new Alwar centre will be equipped with advanced coaching technology, specifically the StanceBeam system, which provides real‑time feedback and in‑depth performance analysis. He also announced the conclusion of CAP’s PAN‑India Scholarship Program, designed to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent promising cricketers from accessing world‑class training, and confirmed that the scholarship initiative will be continued annually.
Looking ahead, CAP outlined a strategic expansion plan to launch more than 25 additional centres across tier‑II and tier‑III cities in India, further extending its footprint and access to quality cricket training nationwide.
