The Ministry of Textiles has highlighted the operational achievements of Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) under Special Campaign 6, focusing on cleanliness, waste management, and space utilization initiatives. CCI demonstrated significant progress through systematic cleanliness drives conducted across its Head Office and branch offices between 5-19 October 2026.

Quantifiable achievements reported up to 21 October 2026 show substantial outperformance against targets: scrap disposal reached 1,076 items against a target of 156 items (689% achievement), generating revenue of ₹3,45,707 against a target of ₹82,469. Office space optimization resulted in 200 sq ft released against a target of 229 sq ft. The campaign included intensive cleaning of office premises on 5 October, Swachhata Selfie Booth activities on 6-7 October to promote public participation, and a seminar on "Clean Spaces, Greener Tomorrow" on 8-9 October.

Additional initiatives included space utilization awareness programs on 12-13 October promoting tree plantation and eco-friendly workplace practices, cleaning of record rooms and storage racks on 14-15 October, and water tank cleaning across branch offices from 16-19 October. The Guntur branch specifically identified 511 e-waste items for disposal through e-auction on Government e-Marketplace (GeM), with bid opening scheduled for 22 October 2026, reflecting the corporation's focus on environmentally responsible waste management through proper collection, segregation, and disposal processes.

The Ministry of Textiles continues to encourage its organizations to document and share such achievements to promote adoption of good practices across the ministry's operations.
