CCI Approves Vinci's Acquisition of Indian Road Assets
The Competition Commission of India has granted approval for the proposed acquisition of 100% shareholding of Vishavari Tollway Private Limited and nine special purpose vehicles operating road assets in India by Concessoc 41 SAS. The acquisition involves complete ownership transfer of the target entities from MAIF 2 Investments India 2 Pte. Ltd. and MAIF 2 Investments India 3 Pte. Ltd.
The target SPVs include Siddhantham Tollway Private Limited, Diwantham Tollway Private Limited, Diwancheruvu Tollway Private Limited, Ankapalli Tollway Private Limited, Icchapuram Tollway Private Limited, Puintola Tollway Private Limited, Bamanbore Tollway Private Limited, Garamore Tollway Private Limited, and Porbandar Jetpur Tollway Private Limited. These SPVs are engaged in operating specific stretches of national highways located across three Indian states: Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Gujarat.
Vishavari Tollway Private Limited currently provides operation and maintenance services along with engineering, procurement and construction services to the highway assets operated by the target SPVs. The acquirer, Concessoc 41 SAS, is a company incorporated under French laws and is ultimately controlled by VINCI S.A. through VINCI Highways and VINCI Concessions. VINCI S.A. is described as a global player in concessions, energy, and construction with operations spanning over 120 countries.
The approval was officially posted on October 7, 2026, through the Press Information Bureau Delhi release (ID: 2320366) as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commemorations.
