Ceigall India Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for the development of a major common transmission system in Gujarat.

The specific project is titled "Common Transmission System for evacuation of power from Lakadia (Phase-II: 7.5 GW), Jam Khambhaliya (Phase-II: 5.5 GW) and Jamnagar (Phase-I: 1 GW) – Part-B".

Project Scope and Specifications

The project entails:

  • Development of a 765/400 kV Air Insulated Substation (AIS)
  • Approximately 300 km of transmission lines

Financial Terms

  • Total project value: ₹5,300 crore (inclusive of GST)
  • Annual transmission charges: ₹608.67 crore each year
  • Operational period: 35 years

  • Execution period: 36 months
  • Operational period: 35 years following completion

The project forms part of the transmission infrastructure being developed to facilitate power evacuation from key renewable energy zones in Gujarat, specifically:
