  • The company announced the rollout of the first transformer from its new greenfield manufacturing facility located in MPIDC, Sehore, Madhya Pradesh on 4th September 2026.
  • This follows previous intimations regarding the establishment of the facility (Ref. No. COSEC/244/2024-25 dated 28th January 2025) and allocation of land by M.P Industrial Development Corporation Limited (Ref. No. COSEC/078/2025-26 dated 2nd August 2025).

Expansion / Capex Details

Existing Capacity:

  • Plant T3: 65,000 MVA
  • Plant T2: 10,000 MVA

Existing Capacity Utilization: 100%

Proposed Capacity Addition: 45,000 MVA at T5

Implementation Timeline:

  • Construction commenced in October 2025 following acquisition of land lease in June 2025
  • Part of the facility is now operational with installed manufacturing capacity of 10,000 MVA
  • First transformer rolled out on 4 September 2026
  • Remaining sections to be commissioned in phases
  • Production capacity to progressively increase to reach full planned capacity of 45,000 MVA
  • Total transformer manufacturing capacity will become 1,20,000 MVA after full implementation

Investment Required: ₹792 Crores

Mode of Financing: QIP and internal accruals

Rationale: Cater to increased demand from renewables/data centers and exports
