The university highlighted several distinguished alumni achievements. Major Arshdeep Singh Gill, a Civil Engineering graduate and NCC alumnus, was awarded the Kirti Chakra – India’s second‑highest peacetime gallantry award – by President Droupadi Murmu for his actions during a counter‑insurgency operation in Manipur, where he neutralised armed militants while safeguarding his troop. At the 41st Passing Out Parade of the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, cadets Sachpreet Singh (Civil Engineering) and Rishabh Sharma (Computer Science) earned silver and bronze medals respectively in the Naval Orientation Course (Extended) and have been commissioned as Sub‑Lieutenants in the Navy.

Harkirat Singh, an Aerospace Engineering student, also attained All‑India Rank‑1 in the Indian Air Force NCC Special Entry (Men) and was commissioned as a Flying Officer after training at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal. Additionally, Aman Kumar Singh, a CSE student, was commissioned as an Assistant Commandant in the Indian Coast Guard, while other alumni continue to serve in distinguished roles across the services.

The university underscored its commitment to supporting defence families through the Armed Forces Educational Welfare Scheme and the Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Scholarship. Over the past 13 years, Chandigarh University has awarded defence‑related scholarships worth more than ₹6 crore to 5,723 students.

In a statement, Deepinder Singh Sandhu, Senior Managing Director of Chandigarh University, emphasized that the institution views nation‑building as equally important as knowledge‑building, noting that the NCC wing not only prepares students for military careers but also cultivates leaders defined by discipline, courage and integrity. He highlighted the growing number of commissioned officers, national honours, academy achievers and the recent doubling of NCC seats as evidence of the trust placed in the university’s training methodology.
