Placement Overview
During the 2025‑2026 campus placement cycles, a total of 619 students from the Tourism and Hospitality Management programmes at Chandigarh University secured employment with 45 leading recruiters spanning international five‑star hotel chains, airlines, airport management firms, and tour‑travel operators. The highest remuneration package offered was ₹22 lakh per annum (LPA), while the average salary rose modestly from ₹3.4 LPA in 2025 to ₹3.5 LPA in 2026.
Hotel Sector Placements
Three hundred fifteen students were placed in the hotel and related hospitality segment, joining organisations such as The Oberoi Gurgaon, Hilton Bangalore, Trident Gurgaon, The Oberoi Udaivilas, Marriott Gurgaon, Sheraton Hyderabad, Vivanta by Taj Surajkund, Taj Lake Palace Udaipur, Imperial Delhi, The Pullman Aerocity, The Roseate Aerocity, Oberoi Sukhvilas Chandigarh, JW Marriott Chandigarh, The Westin Gurgaon, JP Hotels Mussoorie, Lemon Tree Gurgaon, Hyatt Centric Chandigarh, Leela Ambience Delhi, Radisson‑Shimla and Welcome Hotel ITC Mohali. Recruiter participation grew from 32 in 2025 to 35 in 2026. Aviation, Airport Management and Travel Placements
Two hundred ten students secured roles in airlines, airport management and travel‑tourism companies. Leading employers were GMR Airports Limited, Encalm Hospitality Pvt Ltd, IndiGo, Air India, Vistara, Qatar Airways, Lufthansa Airways, PVH Arvind Fashion Pvt. Ltd, Pick Your Trail, Zenith Leisure Holidays, Satguru Travel & Tourism, Bout India Tours, BookMyTicket, Shipra Travels and MakeMyTrip. The highest package in this stream was ₹10 LPA. Notable airline recruiters included IndiGo, Air India, Qatar Airways and Lufthansa Airways.
Culinary Sciences and MBA Programme Placements
In the Culinary Sciences stream, 31 students were hired by top hotels and airlines such as Marriott International, Taj Hotels, Radisson Hotel Group, The Oberoi Group, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts and Air India, with the highest salary of ₹22 LPA. Additionally, 63 graduates of the MBA in Tourism, Hospitality and Aviation programme obtained positions with firms including GMR Airports Limited, Encalm Hospitality Pvt. Ltd, Pick Your Trail, Accor, Taj Hotels and Shipra Travels, receiving a top package of ₹12 LPA.
Training Facilities, Curriculum and Industry Partnerships
Senior Managing Director Deepinder Singh Sandhu highlighted that the university’s curriculum is designed in collaboration with global hospitality and airline experts, offering hands‑on training through internships, workshops, seminars and industry visits. Students receive practical exposure to licensed hotel software such as Opera PMS, travel booking platforms Galileo and Amadeus, and undergo culinary training under celebrity chefs covering Indian, Continental, Italian and Oriental cuisines. The university also provides grooming, personality development, mock interviews, voice and accent training, and operates specialised labs including Front Office, PMS, Housekeeping, Model Guest Room, Linen & Laundry, Basic and Advanced Restaurant, Kitchen, Culinary Science, Bakery and Grooming labs. Memberships with industry bodies like PATA, FHRAI and the Tourism Yuva Club grant additional workshops and expert sessions.
