Overview
Chandigarh University announced on 27 August 2026 that it has entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with eight leading organisations to create new‑age learning, internship and placement opportunities across its Legal Studies, Liberal Arts, Sciences and Pharmaceutical programmes. The university, a NAAC A+ graded and QS‑world‑ranked autonomous institution approved by the UGC, offers more than 109 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has been recognised as The University with Best Placements by WCRC.
Legal Studies Collaborations
The University Institute of Legal Studies signed MoUs with SB Tech Associates, Magnus Legal Services LLP and Khurana and Khurana Advocates and IP Attorneys. The first two partners will co‑develop and review curricula, conduct trainings, seminars, hackathons, competitions, workshops, courses and guest/expert lectures, and provide internship and placement opportunities ranging from one to twelve months. The partnership with Khurana and Khurana adds curriculum input and offers internships of one to three months along with placement avenues. All three collaborations include joint research, sponsored projects, consultancy assignments, publications and knowledge‑exchange activities.
Liberal Arts Collaborations
For its liberal‑arts streams, the university partnered with Level UP PR, Mantrin, and Orient International School and Sports Academy. Level UP PR brings print‑media and newspaper industry exposure, while Mantrin reinforces the same sector focus. Both MoUs involve curriculum alignment, trainings, workshops, guest and expert lectures, industry talks, live projects, and internships/placements of one to twelve months. The Orient partnership, targeting B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. programmes, also provides industrial visits, seminars, hackathons, and the possibility for CU staff to pursue PhDs or for students to have a co‑supervisor from the partner institution, subject to university approval.
Digital Forensics Research Centre
The University Institute of Sciences entered into an MoU with Foundation Futuristic Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (FFT) to establish a Research Centre for Digital Forensic Intelligence. The centre will combine CU’s physical infrastructure and computing hardware with FFT’s proprietary software licences, specialised tools and industry‑standard curriculum modules. Activities will include curriculum development, training, seminars, hackathons, competitions, workshops, courses, expert lectures, and internship opportunities of one to twelve months with placement pipelines into FFT. Additional provisions cover Train‑the‑Trainer certification for CU faculty, joint research, sponsored projects, consultancy, publications, co‑branded certification programmes, and the creation of white papers on Make‑in‑India product suites. The centre may also serve as a demonstration and training hub for law‑enforcement agencies.
Pharmaceutical Sciences Collaboration
A partnership with Choksi Laboratories Ltd focuses on practical exposure to pharmaceutical analytical techniques. The MoU covers curriculum development and review, trainings, seminars, hackathons, competitions, workshops, courses, guest/expert lectures and industrial visits. Students will have access to joint research, sponsored projects, consultancy assignments, publications and professional certification programmes, as well as internship and placement opportunities.
