On August 27, 2026, Chandigarh University issued a press release announcing that it has entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with eight leading organisations to create new‑age learning, internship and placement opportunities across its legal studies, liberal arts, sciences, digital forensics and pharmaceutical programmes.
Collaborations Overview
The eight partners are SB Tech Associates, Magnus Legal Services LLP, Khurana and Khurana Advocates and IP Attorneys, Level UP PR, Mantrin, Orient International School and Sports Academy, Foundation Futuristic Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (FFT) and Choksi Laboratories Ltd. Each MoU is designed to align curriculum with current industry standards, provide hands‑on training, hackathons, workshops, seminars, guest and expert lectures, and facilitate joint research, sponsored projects, consultancy assignments, publications and knowledge‑exchange activities. Internship and placement engagements under the agreements range from one month to twelve months.
Legal Studies Collaboration
The University Institute of Legal Studies has partnered with SB Tech Associates, Magnus Legal Services LLP and Khurana & Khurana Advocates. SB Tech Associates will co‑develop and review curricula, deliver trainings, seminars, hackathons, competitions, workshops and expert lectures, and offer internships of one to twelve months along with placement opportunities. Magnus Legal Services LLP will provide a similar platform for curriculum input and student exposure, also offering internships of one to twelve months. Khurana & Khurana Advocates will focus on B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.B. and LL.M. programmes, providing curriculum review, internships of one to three months, placement pipelines, and avenues for joint research and consultancy.
Liberal Arts Collaboration
For liberal arts students, the university has signed MoUs with Level UP PR, Mantrin and Orient International School and Sports Academy. Level UP PR brings print media and newspaper industry exposure, supporting curriculum alignment, trainings, workshops, industry talks, live projects and internships of one to twelve months. Mantrin reinforces the same objectives within the print media sector, offering similar training and internship durations. The partnership with Orient International School and Sports Academy targets B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. programmes, providing curriculum review input, internships and placements of one to twelve months, industrial visits, seminars, hackathons and the possibility for CU staff to pursue PhDs under joint supervision.
Digital Forensics Collaboration
The University Institute of Sciences has partnered with Foundation Futuristic Technologies Pvt. Ltd. to establish a Research Centre for Digital Forensic Intelligence. The centre will combine CU’s infrastructure with FFT’s proprietary software licences, specialised tools and industry‑standard curriculum modules. Students will receive training in digital forensics, crime investigation and intelligence technologies, participate in hackathons, competitions and workshops, and gain internship opportunities of one to twelve months with a direct placement pipeline to FFT. The MoU also includes Train‑the‑Trainer certification for CU faculty, joint research, sponsored projects, consultancy, co‑branded certification programmes, and the potential to serve law‑enforcement agencies as a demonstration and training hub.
Pharmaceutical Sciences Collaboration
Chandigarh University and Choksi Laboratories Ltd have agreed to collaborate on pharmaceutical analytical techniques. The partnership covers curriculum development, trainings, seminars, hackathons, competitions, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, joint research, sponsored projects, consultancy assignments, publications and professional certification programmes, with internship and placement opportunities for students.
