Chandigarh University announced that it has entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with a range of leading organisations to create new‑age learning, internship and placement opportunities across its legal studies, liberal arts and science programmes.
Legal Studies Collaborations
The University Institute of Legal Studies signed MoUs with SB Tech Associates, Magnus Legal Services LLP and Khurana and Khurana Advocates and IP Attorneys. Under these agreements the partners will co‑develop and review curricula to align with current industry standards, and will provide students with trainings, seminars, hackathons, competitions, workshops, courses and guest or expert lectures. Internship durations range from one to twelve months for SB Tech Associates and Magnus Legal Services, while Khurana & Khurana offers internships of one to three months. All three partners also commit to placement opportunities, joint research, sponsored projects, consultancy assignments, publications and knowledge‑exchange activities.
Liberal Arts Partnerships
The university partnered with Level UP PR, Mantrin, and Orient International School and Sports Academy to enhance employability for liberal arts students. These collaborations involve curriculum development and review, practical trainings, workshops, guest and expert lectures, industry talks and live industry projects. Internships and placement opportunities span one to twelve months. Additional experiential components include joint research, surveys, sponsored projects, consultancy assignments, publications and knowledge exchange. A research centre for Digital Forensic Intelligence has been established in partnership with Foundation Futuristic Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (FFT). The centre combines CU’s physical infrastructure and computing hardware with FFT’s proprietary software licences, specialised tools and industry‑standard curriculum modules. It will deliver curriculum development, training, seminars, hackathons, competitions, workshops, courses and expert lectures. Internships of one to twelve months and placement opportunities with FFT are provided, creating a talent‑acquisition pipeline. The MoU also includes Train‑the‑Trainer certification for nominated CU faculty, joint research, sponsored projects, consultancy assignments, publications, co‑branded certification programmes, academic white papers on Make‑in‑India product suites and a demonstration hub for law‑enforcement agencies.
