Overview
Chitkara University (Chandigarh) and Paramotor Digital Technology Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 12 August 2026 to set up the Sonia Asher Centre of Excellence in Future Technologies and Innovation.
Purpose and Scope
The Centre aims to prepare students for the rapidly evolving fintech and technology ecosystem by bringing together students and faculty from engineering, business, design, mass communication and law. It will provide exposure to emerging technologies, industry practices, real‑world applications and interdisciplinary learning.
Activities and Contributions
Paramotor will contribute its industry experience through corporate mentorship, workshops, hackathons, professional summits and symposia. Students will receive practical exposure to artificial intelligence, data science and technology competencies relevant to fintech. The initiative also supports faculty development, student projects, innovation programmes and industry interaction.
Internship and Employment
Internship and employment opportunities arising from the Centre will be offered subject to defined selection and performance criteria.
