Clove Dental, India's largest multi‑location dental network and the country's biggest Invisalign provider, announced on 3 September 2026 the completion of a nationwide deployment of 106 latest‑generation iTero Lumina™ intraoral scanners supplied by Align Technology.
Deployment Timeline and Scale
The rollout began on 1 April 2026 and all 106 units were fully operational across the network by the first week of July 2026. The scanners are now live in Clove Dental’s 715 clinics, joining the existing fleet of iTero scanners.
Technology and Clinical Benefits
The iTero Lumina™ scanner creates AI‑powered photorealistic 3‑D models of a patient’s mouth within minutes, offers a 3× larger field of view, a wand that is 50 % smaller and 45 % lighter than previous models, and scans twice as fast as earlier iTero devices. The platform integrates Align™ Digital tools such as Invisalign SmileView™, Smile Architect™, and Multi‑Direct Capture™ to visualise future smiles, map tooth movement, and enable impression‑free, comfortable visits.
Operational Impact
Since first introducing iTero scanners three years ago, Clove Dental has completed more than 60,000 digital patient scans. Clinical teams have performed over 6,000 scans on the new Lumina platform to date, and patient response has been described as strongly positive.
Corporate Scale
Clove Dental operates 715 clinics nationwide, employs over 1,700 dentists and 1,100 dental assistants, and has treated more than 3.5 million patients. Align Technology brings 29 years of digital orthodontics experience and has helped doctors treat approximately 23 million patients worldwide with the Invisalign system.
