CMPDI Appoints Three New Senior Management Heads

Nature of change: Appointment of three new Senior Management Personnel (Heads of Department) due to superannuation of previous incumbents.

Appointment 1: Sudhanshu Mishra

Name and DIN: Sudhanshu Mishra (DIN not provided)
Effective date: July 01, 2026
Position: Appointed as Senior Management Personnel upon assuming charge as Head of Department (Geomatics)
Background: General Manager (Mining) and Head of Department (Geomatics) of the Company. Associated with CMPDI since November 1994 with over three decades of experience in the mining sector. Previously served as Head of Department (Geomatics) at Regional Institute-IV and Regional Institute-V.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Technology (Mining Engineering) from Government Engineering College (now National Institute of Technology), Raipur. Holds a First Class Mines Manager's Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS).
Previous experience: Associated with Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) before joining CMPDI.
Replacement: Replaced Shri Mohit Rastogi who superannuated.

Appointment 2: Sunil Manohar Bhaskar

Position: Appointed as Senior Management Personnel upon assuming charge as Head of Department (TE&CM)
Background: Senior Manager (Civil) and Head of Department (TE&CM) at CMPDI (HQ), Ranchi. Joined CMPDI in 2026 after serving with Central Coalfields Limited (CCL).
Qualifications: B.Sc. Engineering (Civil Engineering) from Tilka Manjhi University, Bhagalpur.
Previous experience: During tenure in CCL, served in various engineering and project management roles including Staff Officer (Civil) in the Magadh–Sanghmitra Area. Led execution of key infrastructure projects, developed Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) sites for mine expansion, and contributed to railway infrastructure projects to enhance coal evacuation capacity.
Replacement: Replaced Shri Barun Kumar Gupta who superannuated.

Appointment 3: Punam Singh

Effective date: July 01, 2026
Position: Appointed as Senior Management Personnel upon assuming charge as Head of Department (Environment)
Background: General Manager (Environment) and Head of Department (Environment) of the Company. Associated with CMPDI since 1991 with over three decades of experience in the field of management.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri (then affiliated with Ranchi University).
Replacement: Replaced Vinod Kumar Pandey who superannuated.
