Coal India Limited and Damodar Valley Corporation incorporated DVC CIL Power Private Limited on 27 March 2026 as a 50:50 JV.
The JV's planned capital structure comprises 30% equity (₹3,132.96 crore infusion) and 70% debt for power projects.
The entity will pursue power generation (thermal, hydro, renewables), transmission, distribution, and fly-ash by-product utilisation businesses.
