September FY 2026-27 Performance:

  • Total coal supplies increased by 12.5% to 61.20 million tonnes (MT) compared to 54.40 MT in September previous fiscal
  • Power sector supplies grew by 10.63% to 48.90 MT from 44.20 MT in previous fiscal
  • Non-regulated sector (NRS) supplies showed robust growth of 19.41%
  • Coal production increased by 9.18% to 53.50 MT compared to 49 MT last year

Q2 FY 2026-27 Quarterly Performance:

  • Total coal supplies reached 186.04 MT, registering 12.04% growth over Q2 previous fiscal
  • Power sector supplies grew by 11% to 148.20 MT compared to 133.50 MT in Q2 last year
  • Coal production increased by 3.81% to 151.37 MT from 145.82 MT during Q2 previous fiscal

Stock Position:

  • Company liquidated approximately 63 MT of pithead coal stocks during the first six months of FY 2026-27

Forward Outlook:

  • With monsoon season over, coal production is expected to further pick up along with supplies
  • Company remains well positioned to pursue assigned coal production and supply targets
  • Continues contributing to energy security of the country on sustained basis

Annual Targets:

  • Assigned coal production target: 815 MT for current fiscal
  • Assigned coal supply target: 850 MT for current fiscal
