Press Release Overview
MUMBAI, India – September 24, 2026 – Coca‑Cola India announced a large‑scale festive‑season initiative, undertaken together with its bottling partner Hindustan Coca‑Cola Beverages (HCCB), to expand the availability of its beverage portfolio across Maharashtra and additional Indian states.
Distribution and Touchpoints
The programme creates a wide network of festive partnerships and local touchpoints, including festive pandals and Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), while deepening engagement with neighbourhood markets, eateries and other key locations. Access points span in‑store and at‑home occasions, allowing consumers to obtain beverages through neighbourhood retailers, broader retail and trade partners, as well as quick‑commerce platforms. The company highlights affordable pack choices, a robust retail and distribution network, cooling infrastructure and last‑mile availability to ensure chilled drinks are readily obtainable for pandal‑hopping, shared meals, home gatherings or on‑the‑go refreshment.
Executive Comments
Desmond Nikhil D'Souza, Vice President – Integrated Operations (HCCB) & Commercial, Coca‑Cola India & Southwest Asia, stated that the festive season in Maharashtra holds special significance and that Coca‑Cola aims to keep consumers refreshed while creating economic opportunities for local vendors and retailers. Vinay Nair, Chief Commercial Officer, Hindustan Coca‑Cola Beverages, emphasized that the company’s manufacturing and distribution capabilities, reinforced by a robust last‑mile retail network, will ensure seamless beverage availability and support the broader retail and supply‑chain ecosystem.
‘Locally Yours’ Campaign Extension
The initiative builds on Coca‑Cola India’s “Locally Yours” campaign, positioning neighbourhood retailers as essential touchpoints that make beverages conveniently accessible during the festive period.
Sustainability Efforts
In addition to refreshment, Coca‑Cola India and HCCB are partnering with pandals on used PET bottle collection programmes, converting discarded materials into up‑cycled street art. In collaboration with street artist Doodle Mapuls, bottle caps and labels are transformed into a live “Waste to Wonder” artwork, encouraging collective responsibility and supporting PET bottle recovery and recycling throughout the festive season.
