Appointment of New Chief Executive Officer
Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) issued a press release on 19 August 2026 announcing that Quy Nguyen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Nguyen had been serving as Acting CEO since April 2026 following the retirement of former CEO Niclas Sanfridsson. After a comprehensive succession process, the Board of Directors formally appointed Nguyen, expressing confidence in his leadership and vision for the next phase of growth.
Background of the New CEO
Nguyen joined Colt DCS in 2016 and has held a series of senior leadership positions across sales and marketing, customer experience, design, and delivery. Most recently, he served as Chief Sales Officer, where he played a pivotal role in accelerating growth by strengthening the commercial strategy and deepening customer relationships. Prior to his tenure at Colt DCS, Nguyen occupied senior roles in finance, strategy, and general management, giving him broad experience in scaling businesses and delivering sustainable growth.
Strategic Focus Under New Leadership
As CEO, Nguyen will lead Colt DCS through its next stage of growth, concentrating on scaling the company’s global platform and supporting customers’ rapidly evolving digital infrastructure needs. The company currently has nearly 800 MW of capacity under development across key global markets, positioning it to meet rising demand driven by continued cloud adoption and the rapid expansion of AI workloads in Europe and Asia.
Operational Footprint
Colt DCS designs, builds, and operates data centres for global hyperscalers and large enterprises. Its portfolio includes 15 operational data centres and an additional 12 sites under development across nine cities in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the APAC region.
