On 6 July 2026, Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS), a global provider of AI‑ready hyperscale and large‑enterprise data centres, announced the appointment of David Burton as Chief Information Officer. Burton will lead Colt DCS’s global technology and security teams, shape the organisation’s technology vision and deliver secure, scalable, future‑ready digital platforms to support continued growth.
Background of the Appointee
Burton joins Colt DCS after more than 25 years of global technology leadership. Most recently he was Group Director of Information at Global Switch Data Centres, where he directed the digital strategy, strengthened cybersecurity and delivered technology capabilities that supported sustained business growth. Throughout his career he has overseen large‑scale digital transformation programmes across sectors such as cloud computing, virtualization, global IT service management, research & development and consumer goods.
