Datamatics announced the implementation of its Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) and mobile ticketing systems for Phase 1 of Mumbai Metro Lines 2B and 9.
The AFC system enables faster entry-exit, auto fare deduction, and supports QR-coded tickets and common mobility cards.
Phase 1 of both lines was inaugurated on April 8, 2026, by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Datamatics has previously implemented AFC solutions for Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 and has executed over 30 AFC projects globally.
