Nature of Disclosure: The Project Management Committee, acting under authority delegated by the Board of Directors, approved a significant investment plan at its meeting held on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The meeting commenced at 04:00 PM and concluded at 05:00 PM.

Investment Details: The committee approved an investment of approximately ₹250 crore to be deployed over the next 2-3 years.

Project 1 - Synthetic Iron Oxide Pigments (SIOP) Capacity Expansion:

  • Current Capacity: 30,000 Metric Tonnes (MT)
  • Planned Expansion: 15,000 MT total increase implemented in two phases
  • Phase 1: Addition of 7,000 MT capacity, increasing total capacity to approximately 37,000 MT
  • Phase 1 Completion: Expected by Q4 FY28
  • Phase 2: Addition of further 8,000 MT capacity, taking final capacity to 45,000 MT
  • Phase 2 Timing: To be undertaken after stabilization and commercialization of Phase 1
  • Value Added Product: Will enter the market during FY28 alongside Phase 1 construction and commissioning

Project 2 - Sahupuram Power Plant Improvements Project:

  • Location: Sahupuram complex
  • Objective: Improve power-generation efficiency and reduce power costs
  • Expected Completion: Q4 FY28
  • Impact: Expected to improve the company's cost structure and competitiveness across both basic & specialty chemicals portfolios

Mode of Financing: The investment will be funded through Bank Financing, Internal Accruals, or a combination of both.

Rationale: The planned investment is aimed at strengthening the company's Pigment portfolio, increasing sales, improving competitiveness, and increasing presence across both domestic and international markets. The expansion will increase total production capacity of the SIOP Division by 50% from the current 30,000 MT to 45,000 MT.
