DCX Systems Ltd and Israel Aerospace Industries' ELTA Systems held a groundbreaking ceremony for their joint venture ELTX Systems' new radar manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu on May 4, 2026.
The facility will manufacture, integrate, and test advanced airborne and ground-based radar systems for domestic and international defense requirements, supporting India's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
Construction is expected to be completed by April 2027 with production commencing shortly thereafter, enhancing India's surveillance capabilities and developing a local defense manufacturing ecosystem.
The joint venture represents IAI's expanding activity in India and DCX Systems' commitment to combining global expertise with local manufacturing capabilities for national defense priorities.
