Deakin University and Telangana's Aikam signed an MoU on April 10, 2026 to collaborate on applied AI, skilling, research, and innovation.
The partnership creates the Aikam–Deakin Hub (Aikam–DHRITI) as a Joint Centre of Excellence for applied artificial intelligence research and commercialization.
Three focus pillars include AI skilling and education, joint translational research, and ecosystem/industry engagement for startup enablement and commercial pathways.
Telangana officials highlighted the MoU’s role in positioning the state as a global AI proving ground and boosting responsible, inclusive AI adoption.
