Key Areas of Cooperation:

  • Scientific studies on extraction, recovery and characterization of nickel from Ni-PGE ores of the Bhanwarpur Complex (Bhalukona)
  • Evaluation, characterization and metallurgical test work on lithium concentrates produced from Deccan Gold's Mozambique operations
  • Development of beneficiation, extraction and value-addition technologies
  • Development of beneficiation, hydrometallurgical and electrochemical processes for nickel extraction and purification
  • Research and development of Nickel-Carbon battery materials and laboratory-scale cells
  • Joint development of project-specific research programmes, technology validation and commercialization opportunities

Agreement Terms: The MoU is non-binding in nature and provides the framework for executing project-specific agreements as and when mutually identified opportunities arise. The arrangement is valid for an initial period of two years.

About CSIR-CECRI

Established in 1953, CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR-CECRI), Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, is one of India's leading national research laboratories under CSIR. The Institute is internationally recognized for its work in electrochemical science and technology, materials engineering, mineral and bio-mineral processing, metal extraction, process engineering, corrosion science, electrochemical energy storage systems, battery technologies, surface engineering, and advanced materials characterization. The Institute developed India's first indigenous Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) battery fabrication technology.

Strategic Alliance Agreement with XTerra Global Resources

Deccan Gold has entered into a Strategic Alliance Agreement with XTerra Global Resources Private Limited ("XTerra"), establishing a non-exclusive framework for cooperation in critical minerals, mineral processing, battery materials and downstream value-addition opportunities in India and overseas.

Scope of Cooperation: The Parties will explore opportunities for technology development, project evaluation, value-added processing and strategic investments in the critical minerals sector.

Agreement Terms: The Strategic Alliance Agreement serves as an umbrella arrangement under which project-specific definitive agreements may be executed as and when mutually agreed opportunities are identified. The agreement is valid for an initial period of two years and is non-exclusive in nature.

Expected Impact
