Key Operational Milestone
Deccan Gold Mines Limited successfully produced its first gold doré at the Altyn Tor Gold Project in Kyrgyzstan on August 5, 2026. The production was achieved through processing of gravity circuit concentrate using the newly installed Intensive Leach System (ILS). Gold recovery was accomplished through the Merrill-Crowe process from pregnant leach solution before smelting into gold doré.
Technical Validation
The first production batch served as a proof-of-concept run to evaluate the integrated process design and validate key operating parameters under active field conditions. The successful outcome confirms:
- Metallurgical leachability of the ore
- High gold recovery rates established during earlier laboratory test work can be replicated in production environment
- Operational viability of the upgraded processing circuit
Strategic Significance
This milestone represents a critical de-risking step for the Altyn Tor processing flowsheet and accelerates the Company's transition from explorer to producer. It provides a strong foundation for advancing towards full-scale commercial production.
Management Commentary
Dr. Hanuma Prasad Modali, Managing Director, stated: "The successful production of our first gold doré at Altyn Tor marks a defining milestone in Deccan Gold's journey as we transition from an explorer to a gold producer. Successfully validating the complete processing flowsheet—from gravity concentration and intensive leaching through to gold recovery and doré production—under live operating conditions significantly de-risks the project and provides confidence in its commercial potential."
Future Plans
The Company will:
- Continue advancing the Altyn Tor Project towards full-scale commercial production
- Progress plant optimisation, resource expansion and mine planning
- Update the project's mineral resource estimate
- Develop a revised Life-of-Mine plan
- Focus on unlocking additional resource potential and creating long-term value for shareholders
Project Background
The Altyn Tor project is located in the Naryn region of central Kyrgyzstan, approximately six hours by road from the capital Bishkek. The deposit forms part of the highly mineralized Soltan Sary mineralization zone, which extends over 300km length and is part of the major Tien Shen Shear Zone. Gold mineralization is hosted in quartz, quartz-carbonate veins and stockworks.
