Board Meeting Outcomes
- Deepak Chem Tech Limited's Board approved a project for manufacturing Bisphenol A (BPA) with capacity of upto 240 KTA
- Approved investment of approximately ₹2,500 Crores including related greenfield infrastructure capital expenditure
- Investment amount will be firmed up upon completion of detailed engineering
- Project will be funded through appropriate mix of debt and equity
Strategic Actions
- The BPA project represents movement toward creating a highly integrated manufacturing platform spanning the value chain from Cumene to Phenol & Acetone, BPA and Polycarbonate resin, including downstream compounding
- The facility will meet captive requirements for manufacturing of Polycarbonate resins
- Will enable participation in the rapidly growing Indian market for Bisphenol A used in manufacture of Epoxy resins
- This follows previous Board approvals for India's first Polycarbonate resin manufacturing plant leveraging Trinseo technology and associated asset acquisition, as well as a Phenol & Acetone manufacturing plant
