Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will perform the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for a state-of-the-art 10,000-ton aluminium extrusion press at Yantra India Limited's Ordnance Factory in Ambajhari, Nagpur, Maharashtra on June 19, 2026. The ceremony will be attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Secretary (Defence Production) Sanjeev Kumar, and other senior officials from the Department of Defence Production and Yantra India Limited.

This extrusion press represents a major national asset for the defence manufacturing sector that will significantly strengthen India's capability to produce large, high-strength, and precision aluminium alloy extrusions specifically catering to the requirements of both defence and aerospace sectors. The project is strategically important as it will help reduce the country's dependence on imports of critical aluminium extruded components while supporting indigenous manufacturing capabilities in alignment with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.
