Delivery Hero SE (ticker DHER) shares rose 5.5% on a Bloomberg report that Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE:UBER) is in advanced talks to acquire the German food‑delivery company. Uber’s own shares fell 2% following the same news. Uber already owns 24.99% of Delivery Hero’s equity and, when combined with derivative positions, its total economic interest reaches about 36.8%. An earlier approach from Uber proposed €33 per share, but market participants anticipate a higher offer. Delivery Hero’s stock has appreciated approximately 62% year‑to‑date, giving the company a market capitalisation of €11.2 billion (US$12.8 billion). Amsterdam‑listed Prosus NV is also a major shareholder in Delivery Hero.
