On July 31, 2026, DFSK, the new‑energy vehicle brand of SERES Group, officially launched the right‑hand‑drive E5 PLUS at the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Tangerang, marking its first entry into a right‑hand‑drive market following an earlier debut at the 2026 International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo in Hong Kong.
Vehicle Specifications
The Indonesian‑spec E5 PLUS is equipped with the SERES Super Hybrid System and a 25.3 kWh battery that provides a 140 km NEDC pure‑electric range and a combined driving range of up to 1,400 km. It adopts a six‑seat configuration with independent second‑row captain’s seats, an adaptive FSD suspension system, and a localized intelligent cockpit that supports Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Malay, Vietnamese and Traditional Chinese in addition to the default language. Connectivity features include Apple CarPlay and popular entertainment apps such as Spotify.
Safety and Technology
Standard driver‑assistance equipment comprises Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Centering Control (LCC) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). The system is backed by five millimeter‑wave radars, 22 sensing units, a 360‑degree surround‑view camera and a transparent under‑body view, delivering comprehensive situational awareness.
Market Reception and Production
Since the opening of pre‑sales in Indonesia, more than 1,200 pre‑orders have been recorded, indicating strong market confidence. Production is carried out at SERES Group’s highly automated manufacturing facility in Indonesia, where the E5 PLUS is assembled under globally unified standards. The plant supplies both the domestic market and neighboring export destinations, reinforcing the local supply chain, creating jobs and aligning with Indonesia’s sustainable industrial development goals.
