DHS Opens Twin Tower, Adds Robotic Knee
On 31 August 2026, DHS Multispecialty Hospital announced the inauguration of a new twin‑tower facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The expanded campus now offers a total capacity of 60 inpatient beds, of which eight are dedicated to an intensive care unit. The infrastructure includes three Class‑100 modular operation theatres designed for complex orthopaedic, oncological and multi‑specialty procedures.
In conjunction with the physical expansion, the hospital launched a dedicated robotic knee replacement centre equipped with the fourth‑generation VELYS robotic system supplied by Johnson & Johnson. Shah, Medical Director and Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon, the VELYS platform delivers enhanced surgical accuracy, optimal ligament balancing, and eliminates the need for pre‑operative CT scan radiation, thereby reducing joint friction, postoperative pain and accelerating patient mobility. Dr. Swagat Shah, Sports Injury Surgeon and Director, emphasized that the combined twin‑tower and robotic knee centre bring advanced technology and specialist expertise under one roof, eliminating the need for patients in Ahmedabad and across Gujarat to travel elsewhere for top‑tier orthopaedic and sports injury care.
The hospital also provides round‑the‑clock diagnostic and support services, including X‑ray, ultrasonography, CT scanning, a 24‑hour laboratory and pharmacy.
