Award Announcement
On 18 September 2026, in Bengaluru, Digit Insurance announced that its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Jasleen Kohli, was honoured as the Global Fintech Person of the Year (Female) at the Global Fintech Awards 2026. The award ceremony took place during the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026 in Mumbai and formed part of the Special FinTech Achievements category at the fifth edition of the awards.
Evaluation Process
The selection was conducted by a distinguished seven‑member jury supported by thirty‑four esteemed jurors, including V. Vaidyanathan (MD & CEO, IDFC FIRST Bank), Sameer Nigam (Founder & CEO, PhonePe) and Suresh Sethi (Group Country Manager, India & South Asia, Visa). Over 500 nominations were received from more than 400 participating brands, and winners were recognised across 26 categories spanning five major segments.
Company Milestones Under Jasleen Kohli
Since its inception, Digit Insurance has served more than 8.4 crore customers. In the financial year 2025‑26, the insurer crossed ₹10,000 crore in Gross Written Premium (GWP). Under Kohli’s leadership, Digit progressed from a unicorn to a publicly listed company within eight years of operation, maintaining a technology‑first approach that leverages AI/ML for claims processing, underwriting and customer experience.
