Divine Infracon Pvt. Ltd. and other petitioners filed writ petitions against the Union Territory of Chandigarh. On 26 July 2023, Justice Pankaj Jain allowed the petitioners to withdraw these petitions as requested. Subsequently, Advocate Ms. K. Ghosh appeared, stating that the petitioner wished to continue the proceedings, but she could not produce a power of attorney or vakalatnama. The court therefore could not entertain the request to pursue the writs, but granted the petitioner liberty to seek revival of the petitions by filing an appropriate application through a duly authorized representative.
