Leadership Transition at DJ Group of Institutions
Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India – On Monday, July 6, 2026, DJ Group of Institutions announced that Dr. Smiti Jassar Klaire will step down from her position as Group Chief Executive Officer and will relinquish her membership on the Governing Board of the Jassar Dental Medical Education Health Foundation. Effective immediately, she will assume the role of Chairperson of the Advisory Board, where she will continue to provide long‑term guidance on institutional strategy, governance, academic excellence, leadership development, and future growth initiatives.
The foundation, originally established nearly three decades ago in 1997 by the late Shri Ajit Singh Jassar, began with the vision that education and healthcare could transform communities and create lasting regional development. Over the years, the DJ Group of Institutions has expanded into a multi‑disciplinary ecosystem offering programs in dental sciences, Ayurveda, nursing, pharmacy, engineering, and allied healthcare disciplines.
Dr. Klaire’s association with the institution spans more than twenty‑five years. She entered DJ College of Dental Sciences and Research as a first‑year BDS student in the founding batch of 1999, later becoming an oral surgeon, professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, academic leader, and ultimately Group CEO. In her new advisory capacity, she will advise on senior leadership appointments, review institutional performance, mentor emerging leaders, and support the strategic direction of the Group while ensuring alignment with the founder’s original vision.
Reflecting on the transition, Dr. Klaire said, “My association with this institution is inseparable from my personal and professional journey… It has been an honour to contribute to that vision, and I remain committed to supporting the institution and its future growth in every way possible.”
Mr. Rhitik Jassar, Chairman of DJ Group of Institutions and the Jassar Dental Medical Education Health Foundation, added, “Dr. Smiti’s contribution stands out as a defining pillar of the institution’s growth, resilience and enduring legacy. She has been a constant source of strength, wisdom and compassion, both as a senior leader and as my elder sister.”
The Group is currently advancing several long‑term initiatives, most notably the development of DJ Medicity, an integrated healthcare, education, and research ecosystem designed to strengthen healthcare accessibility and expand medical education capacity across the Delhi‑NCR region.
