Dr. Anshu Kataria, Aryans Group Chairman, received the ‘Best Leader of Unaided Colleges of India’ award from Minister Sanjeev Arora in Mohali.
He announced PUCA’s national expansion, targeting nearly 8,000 technical institutions and already partnering with Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Kataria praised UGC’s new January session, urged rollback of pharmacy year‑back rules, and opposed mandatory NEET for paramedical courses.
He proposed converting about 500 non‑operational engineering colleges into medical colleges, seeking government financial support to revive unused infrastructure for healthcare education.
