Dynamic Creatures, a robotics startup that has just emerged from stealth mode, announced the launch of mobile, interactive character robots designed for hospitality and entertainment venues, including theme parks, hotels, resorts, casinos, museums, cruise ships and live venues.
Founders and Partnerships
The company was founded by former Boston Dynamics chief strategy officer Marc Theermann and former Robotics and AI Institute research leader Farbod Farshidian. It has established an official partnership with Boston Dynamics and is currently collaborating with a large, unnamed theme park and a retailer to develop guest‑facing character experiences.
Platform Details – SnowJay
Dynamic Creatures introduced SnowJay, an integrated AI and robotics platform that combines advanced robotics, learning‑based control, real‑time perception, behavioral programming, character design and costuming. SnowJay enables characters to move through commercial environments and adapt their behavior to surrounding people, activity and context, allowing face‑to‑face engagement that understands encounter context rather than following predetermined sequences.
Deployment and Business Model
Characters built on existing robotics platforms can be deployed in months, significantly reducing development timelines compared with traditional custom character builds. The firm offers leasing models for platform‑based characters, providing operators a path to introduce new experiences without large upfront capital investment.
Investors and Funding
Dynamic Creatures is backed by U.S. and European institutional investors, including Eniac Ventures, Kindred Ventures, Heliad, Sunshine Lake, and BlueGrass Ventures. Strategic angel investors Marc Raibert and Lukas Ziegler also participate in the funding round.

The company operates from its headquarters in Boston.
