Electrolux Group Tariff Refund Claim Overview

Electrolux Group submitted refund claims totaling $88 million under Phase 2 of a refund process administered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The claims arise from tariffs paid under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariff program, which was introduced in February 2025 and expanded through April 2025.

In February 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that IEEPA does not grant authority to impose such tariffs. Following that decision, the Court of International Trade ordered refunds for affected importers. U.S. Customs and Border Protection opened Phase 1 of the refund process on April 20, 2026, and Phase 2 opened on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Electrolux disclosed that it will recognize a positive non‑recurring item of approximately $61 million related to 2025 in operating income for the Region North America in its second‑quarter 2026 results. Additionally, an amount of approximately $27 million linked to the first quarter of 2026 will be recognized as part of cost of goods sold for the same region and quarter.

The company will publish its interim report for the second quarter of 2026 on July 29, 2026 at approximately 07:00 CEST, where the impact of the tariff refunds will be detailed.
