Enbridge $4B Pipeline Expansion Approved

Canada approved Enbridge’s $4 billion Sunrise Expansion, adding ~300 MMcf/d to the Westcoast natural gas pipeline.
Project will boost Canada’s economy by over $3 billion and create about 2,500 construction jobs for locals and Indigenous groups.
Enbridge’s Westcoast line spans 2,900 km with current capacity 3.6 bcf/d; construction starts July 2026, in‑service late 2028.
Enbridge shares rose marginally on Friday following the approval.
