Canada approved Enbridge's $4 billion Sunrise Expansion, adding ~300 MMcf/d to Westcoast natural gas pipeline.
Project will inject over $3 billion into the Canadian economy and employ roughly 2,500 local and Indigenous workers during construction.
Enbridge shares edged higher on the news, with the Westcoast system spanning 2,900 km and current capacity 3.6 Bcf/d.
Construction starts July 2026, targeting in‑service by late 2028.
