Enel Acquires 84‑MW Campo Eolico Ariano Wind Farm in Italy
Enel Green Power Italia completed the acquisition of 100 % of Campo Eolico Ariano, an 84‑megawatt wind farm located in the Campania region of southern Italy, from a company owned by Austria’s WEB Windenergie AG. The transaction value was approximately €145 million, equivalent to $166 million, and was announced on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
The wind farm delivers an average annual electricity generation of about 0.2 terawatt‑hours. Enel projects that the asset will contribute roughly €16 million per year to its ordinary core earnings.
The purchase is part of Enel’s broader plan to expand its renewable‑energy generation capacity by acquiring operational assets in its primary markets, reinforcing its strategy of growth through acquisitions rather than greenfield development.
