Eni announced discovery of Geliga-1 well in Ganal block, Kutei Basin, about 70 km off East Kalimantan, water depth ~2,000 m.
Preliminary estimates show in‑place resources of roughly 5 trillion cubic feet of gas and 300 million barrels of condensate.
The find lies 20 km north of the 2023 Geng North discovery and follows recent FIDs for South Hub and North Hub projects.
North Hub will use a new FPSO capable of handling 1 bcf/d gas and 90,000 bbl/d condensate, plus the Bontang LNG plant.
