Envision Energy Secures DNV Type Certification for TG Pro Wind Turbine

On 28 September 2026, Envision Energy announced that its TG Pro (EN‑206/8.35 60 Hz) wind turbine has been awarded a Type Certification by DNV, a leading independent certification body. The certification ceremony took place during the WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 exhibition and was conducted by Mette Redanz, Vice President of Renewables Certification at DNV, and Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Envision Energy.

The TG Pro platform, first launched in 2024, has already secured multiple orders across China and other international markets. Since launch, the turbine has undergone a comprehensive validation programme that includes component‑level testing, digital‑twin simulations, multi‑site prototype operations, and commercial deployments, providing a robust data set for performance and reliability assessment. The turbine’s design features a high‑performance architecture, optimized aerodynamic blades, and intelligent control technologies aimed at maximizing energy capture across a wide range of wind conditions. Key components have been reinforced and engineered for durability in demanding operating environments, supporting long‑term reliability.

Yimin Lou stated that the DNV certification “further demonstrates the maturity of the platform and its readiness to serve customers across diverse international markets,” emphasizing Envision’s commitment to delivering intelligent, high‑performance, and reliable turbine technologies for future energy systems. Mette Redanz added that independent certification “provides an important foundation for confidence in wind turbine technology, helping manufacturers, developers and other stakeholders assess performance, reliability and compliance of new turbine platforms.”

In addition to the TG Pro certification, Envision highlighted that its EN‑156/5.0 MW turbine platform has received a Provisional Type Certificate from Bureau Veritas. The certification process for the EN‑156 platform was completed in less than five months, confirming the design’s technical capabilities as it moves toward broader commercial rollout. The 5.0 MW turbine is being deployed at the Manar Wind Power Project in Sri Lanka, marking Envision’s first utility‑scale wind turbine order in the country. The turbine features a 110‑metre hub height and enhanced anti‑corrosion specifications designed for high‑salinity, high‑humidity coastal environments, underscoring its suitability for demanding regional conditions.

Together, the DNV certification of TG Pro and the Bureau Veritas provisional certification of the EN‑156 platform illustrate Envision Energy’s focus on rigorous engineering, independent validation, and market‑specific product development, reinforcing its position as a global leader in green technology and wind energy solutions.
