Equinor Signs 9 TWh Deal with Eneco

Equinor announced that it has entered into a five‑year agreement to supply natural gas to Dutch energy company Eneco. The contract provides approximately 9 terawatt‑hours of gas each year, equivalent to about 0.9 billion cubic metres, which will be fed into the Dutch gas grid. Deliveries under the agreement commenced on 1 October 2026. The financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed. This transaction represents Equinor’s third long‑term contract with Eneco signed in 2026. In addition to the gas volumes, Equinor will transfer verified environmental attributes to Eneco, demonstrating a greenhouse‑gas footprint that is 11.8 % lower than the average footprint of the Dutch grid.
