EuroKids’ Nationwide Independence Day Celebration
EuroKids Preschool, India’s leading preschool brand, marked the nation’s 80th Independence Day by bringing together more than 125,000 young learners and over 15,000 educators across more than 2,000 centres in over 550 cities. The immersive, play‑based programme was designed to teach values of unity, diversity, pride and responsible citizenship through age‑appropriate activities.
The celebration featured a Tricolour Kite Festival where colourful kites carried messages of hope, a patriotic obstacle course with saffron hoops, a green tunnel and an Ashoka Chakra spin to promote teamwork and resilience, a Mini Patriotic Parade with children marching the national flag, and a “Unity in Diversity” ramp walk where toddlers represented different Indian states in traditional attire.
EuroKids linked the event to its month‑long Awesome August initiative, which integrates cultural, environmental and social occasions such as Friendship Day, Sustainability Week and Raksha Bandhan into its curriculum. The programme is rooted in the Heureka – The Visible Thinking Curriculum, inspired by Harvard University’s Project Zero and aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing critical and creative thinking through 20 structured Thinking Routines.
Early childhood research cited by EuroKids indicates that nearly 90% of a child’s brain development occurs between ages two and six, underscoring the brand’s philosophy that structured, play‑based learning should begin at age two. CEO of the Pre‑K Division, KVS Seshasai, stated that the celebration offers a unique opportunity to instill identity, empathy and responsible citizenship in children during these formative years.
To encourage early enrollment, EuroKids announced a festive Independence Day fee benefit for new enrolments of toddlers as young as two years old.
