Announcement
Felix, an AI‑native customer‑engagement platform that debuted in July 2025, announced that it won the AI category at the FFFP Conference held on 5 October 2026. The award was showcased through live demonstrations and one‑on‑one interactions with mutual fund distributors (MFDs).
Market Context
According to AMFI data, the mutual fund industry’s assets under management (AUM) reached ₹87.1 lakh crore in August 2026, while monthly systematic investment plan (SIP) inflows hit a record ₹32,297 crore. Direct plans now constitute 36.7 % of retail AUM, up from 21.4 % in 2021, and investors under 30 years old form the majority of new entrants, demanding a personalised, always‑on digital experience. Despite this growth, most distributors still rely on Excel sheets, registers and AMC portals, with an estimated 90–95 % expanding solely through referrals and lacking a digital sales funnel or personal brand.
Platform Features and Value Proposition
Felix is built around the evolving needs of distributors rather than technology. It provides a digital‑first presence under the distributor’s own brand, offering reels, personalised WhatsApp content and interactive tools that resonate with a 25‑year‑old audience. The platform enables a sales and marketing funnel beyond referrals by capturing leads from social media, events and campaigns, and tracking each prospect through a pipeline from enquiry to conversion. Hyper‑personalisation allows every interaction—whether a review proposal or a WhatsApp message—to be tailored to a client’s goals, life stage and portfolio while carrying the distributor’s name instead of the AMC’s. The AI‑cloning capability learns the distributor’s investment philosophy and communication style, creating an AI replica that can engage clients from day one, ensuring business continuity even when a relationship manager departs.
Growth Objectives
Felix states that its solution is designed to help MFDs grow AUM two to three times without proportionate hiring, effectively decoupling business expansion from headcount increases.
Validation and Outlook
At the FFFP Conference, the Felix team—including product, technology and sales personnel—demonstrated the platform and gathered feedback from distributors. The company reported that validation received from MFDs reinforced its strategic direction, and the suggestions collected will shape future product development. The firm’s tagline, “Felix – Intelligence Behind Advice,” encapsulates its mission to embed AI into everyday distributor workflows while preserving the human advisory relationship.
About Felix
Felix is focused on building intelligence for the people who advise India’s investors, believing that the mutual fund distributor—not an app or an AMC—is the relationship that keeps households invested through market cycles. The platform embeds AI into the daily practice of an MFD, covering client understanding, engagement personalisation and preservation of the principal’s thinking to outlast any single hire. Felix was co‑founded by Rohan Kardile, who leads product, and Abhishek Gidde, who leads technology.
