Fibocom Press Release – India Mobile Congress 2026

On 9 October 2026 in New Delhi, Fibocom (stock codes 300638.SZ and 0638.HK), a global provider of wireless communication modules and AI solutions, unveiled its newest portfolio at India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026. The showcase emphasized the growing demand for 5G‑enabled IoT deployments across India, driven by energy digitalisation, connected mobility, and broader 5G adoption.

The company displayed a broad range of applications, including wireless broadband, energy smart meters, vehicle tracking, and electric‑vehicle (EV) battery trackers. Its Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) portfolio featured 5G modules, Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), Outdoor Units (ODU), and MiFi solutions. For the Indian market, Fibocom highlighted continued support for local frequency bands and the NavIC satellite navigation system.

In the smart‑metering segment, Fibocom provides 4G connectivity for GridCrest’s smart‑meter solution, enabling electricity consumption data and device events to be transmitted over mobile networks to utility management platforms for remote reading and monitoring. The MGB series of GNSS modules—mass‑produced dual‑frequency devices—offers positioning capabilities such as NavIC and Real‑Time Kinematic (RTK) services, addressing varied positioning needs.

Recognising that IoT projects are moving toward large‑scale deployment, Fibocom partnered with Indian IoT Original Design Manufacturer Grid‑OS to jointly demonstrate devices for payment and vehicle‑tracking applications. These devices combine Fibocom’s wireless connectivity with Grid‑OS’s local product‑development expertise, illustrating a pathway from product development and pilot validation to volume production and mass deployment.

Fibocom also introduced its AI companion solution MagiCore and an AI Dongle, extending its offering from pure connectivity to edge‑AI capabilities.

> “Fibocom has built a strong presence in India, working closely with local partners across payments, energy and asset tracking. Together, we support customers in taking IoT devices from product development and pilot validation to volume production and large‑scale deployment,” said Thales Zhang, Vice President and Head of the Global Marketing and Computing Solutions Business Group at Fibocom.

Founded in 1999, Fibocom supplies cellular, AI, automotive, and GNSS modules, along with AI toolchains, AI agents, global connectivity, and cloud services to industries such as robotics, consumer electronics, transportation, retail, and energy.
