Overview
On 26 October 2026, FL Technics Indonesia announced that its Bali facility has been granted EASA Part‑145 approval, allowing the centre to perform base and line maintenance on aircraft registered in the European Union. The approval places FL Technics Indonesia among a very small number of Indonesian MROs holding EASA certification.
Scope of Certification
The EASA approval specifically covers the Airbus A320 family – both the CEO and NEO variants – as well as the Boeing 737 Classic, Next‑Generation and MAX series, which together represent the most widely operated commercial platforms worldwide. Prior to this, the Bali hangar had already delivered maintenance services for aircraft registered across the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia; the new certification now enables service for European carriers operating under the EU’s stringent regulatory framework, with EASA inspectors conducting comprehensive technical and quality audits of the hangar’s infrastructure, tooling systems and engineering workforce.
Facility Details
The Bali site occupies 17,000 m² at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar and comprises three hangars, each equipped with an aircraft bay, together providing three bays in total. A state‑of‑the‑art paint booth of 2,000 m² supports extensive airframe work. The location offers a central regional footprint designed to minimise aircraft downtime while adhering to strict safety standards.
Operational Timeline
According to Martynas Grigas, Chairman of FL Technics Indonesia, the facility is preparing to commence work for an EU‑based operator as early as the following week, with additional aircraft arrivals anticipated in November 2026. Grigas added that the company is also positioned to serve operators across Asia, the Middle East and Australia that require EASA‑approved maintenance.
Corporate Context
FL Technics Indonesia operates as an EASA and FAA Part‑145 certified subsidiary of FL Technics, a global provider of integrated aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services. It is part of the Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest aerospace business group with more than 100 offices and production stations worldwide. In addition to the Bali facility, FL Technics Indonesia runs a 27,520 m² hangar and office complex at Soekarno‑Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, and employs over 700 aviation experts across its operations.
