Announcement

FL Technics Indonesia has received European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part‑145 approval for its Bali facility, enabling the maintenance of aircraft registered in the European Union. The approval makes the Bali hangar one of only a few MRO facilities in Indonesia to hold EASA certification.

Scope of Certification

The EASA approval covers both base and line maintenance for the Airbus A320 family – including the CEO and NEO variants – as well as Boeing 737 Classic, Next‑Generation and MAX aircraft, which together represent the most widely operated commercial platforms worldwide.

Operational Impact

The Bali facility, located at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, spans 17,000 m² and comprises three hangars, three aircraft bays, and a state‑of‑the‑art 2,000 m² paint booth. While the facility has previously provided maintenance services for aircraft registered across the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia, the new EASA certification now permits work for European carriers operating under the EU’s stringent regulatory framework. Comprehensive technical and quality audits conducted by EASA inspectors have validated the hangar’s infrastructure, tooling systems and engineering workforce.

Timeline

According to Martynas Grigas, Chairman of FL Technics Indonesia, the facility is preparing to commence work for an EU‑based operator by next week, with additional aircraft arrivals expected in November 2026.
